Synopsis
The second instalment of the best-selling PLAYSTATION 3 brutal off road racer leaves Monument Valley for a Pacific island of dense jungle, thick swamps, towering peaks and steaming volcanoes. But don't let the tranquil scenery fool you; this new setting is as violent and unpredictable as the drivers that flock to it. It will smash, scorch and drown you at every turn.
Like the environment, opponents are smarter and more aggressive this time around, with improved Artificial Intelligence. There are 16 multi-route tracks to tear up with all the vehicle classes from the first Motorstorm: ATVs, rally cars, buggies, motorbikes, race trucks, mudpluggers and Big Rigs, as well as the newly arrived monster trucks that climb, sprint and roll over any vehicle in their way.
Multiplayer is even more intense; 16 racers can duke it out online or up to four people can get together and race in split-screen. Comprehensive PLAYSTATION Network support provides sophisticated ranking and leaderboards.
It's brutal, dangerous, relentless, and unpredictable and more than a game - Motorstorm is a way of life.

The Money Shot
Boost Explode over the finish line to win 10 races
You will earn this trophy sooner or later, but if you want to earn it straight away just do some Rank 1 Races. For example the first race in 'Earth Zone' called 'Kanaloa Bay'. Get yourself into first place and when you are near the end of the second lap just before you reach the finish line press 
to boost and be sure to explode just before finish line. If you boost too late, you don't explode. If you boost too early you will explode but you will not cross the finish line. It's takes a bit of practice before you earn this trophy. I got it racing normally and got it by the time I reached the Rank 5 races.

Track Master
Win 5 races on each track
For the 'Track Master' trophy you have to win 5 races on all the tracks in the game. Alternatively you could create 5 free-play races on every track, win them all and the trophy is yours. Or you could simply play the game and it will earn it around Rank 6 or 7.

Just Getting Started
Race for a total of one hour
They don�t get any easier than this. Simply you play the game on- and/or offline every minute counts, strangely enough you will get it after 1hr fast.

Stuntman
Successfully land a jump of 185m or more
The best track to accomplish this trophy on is 'The Edge' as it has very big ramps/jumps. It�s best to use motorbike to achieve this trophy. The trick is to build up your speed before the ramp/jump and hopefully you jump 185 meters. You have to land it successfully too I believe, if the screen goes red when you land this is classed as a failed landing.

Race Fan
Take part in 250 races
There are two ways you can do this!
1. Play the game and you�ll get it eventually
2. Play Freeplay games. Choose Eliminator races with 5 Second Eliminations and choose one opponent, win the race and you should get this trophy in around 2 hrs.
ALL race modes count towards this trophy This includes online, offline festival or freeplay. The only event not included in this stat is speed events.

Just play the game, and you should get this around 5 or 6 hours into it.

Wreck your vehicle 250 times
Just play the game! If your as good as me at wrecking, you�ll get this fairly quick.

Friendship
Complete a Split-Screen race with 4 players
If you have 4 Controllers this is easy. Play a freeplay game with 4 players. If you don�t have four controllers it gets tricky. you could also use the Sony Blu-Ray Remote as a forth controller (this is what I did). Just make sure you assign it to controller 2 and turn the other two controllers on. Race one lap with player one, wait for the race to finish and PING! the trophy is yours.

Ghost Rider
Beat 48 developer's ghosts on Time Attack
This is a tough little bronze! The idea is that you have to beat the developers ghost times in time attack in which can be found in wreckreation. The best tip I got was to download the fastest time for the track you are working on. The main reason for this is the fact that the developers don�t always take the fastest route. Turn both ghosts one and try to keep up with the fastest ghost (I found this tough but you get the gist of the route he/she takes). Once you know the fastest route its practice makes perfect until you beat the developers ghost! If you crash restart the lap as crashed laps don�t count as beating the ghosts!

Perform an impressive Barrel Roll
Not the most difficult trophy in the game. Best method of getting this it to crash while doing down a steep ish hill (which there are plenty in the game) and watch your impressive crash right through to the end and you should hear that PING!

Successfully punch or ram 100 vehicles
Simple trophy just takes a bit of time really. Simply press

whilst driving along side any vehicle. Do this 100 times and the trophy is yours.

Win 50 races using a lightweight vehicle
Simply win 50 races with either the Motorbike or a ATV.

Punch 5 competitors in a single race and go on to win gold
Another easy one here. Set a 2 player split screen with only yourself and player two in the race, put yourselves on a bike each. Then using or to punch player two of his/her bike, repeat this 4 more times then race to the end of and win.

Win a race by a margin of less than 0.1s
Do what the trophy description says, you�ll get it while playing the game. It�s and easy one to pick up.

Survivor
In Eliminator escape from last place 10 times with only 3 seconds to go
Takes a bit of practice and skill to get this one. In an Eliminator race try to stay behind the driver in last place, and when 3 secs are left boost past the driver in front, do this 10 times and the trophy is yours. Chances are you will get this playing the game anyway.

Beat all 128 original developer ghosts in Time Attach
Use the same method I described in the Ghost Rider trophy. Instead of the 48 needed for Ghost Rider it�s a whopping 128 Ghost Times to beat! Have fun!

Necessary Roughness
Knock down 10 dismounted drivers
To knock down dismounted drivers you need to know where to find them. If you press 
twice you should see all driver names. When you see a driver name that isn�t moving simply aim for it as you get closer you will notice it is just the driver walking on the track. Takes a bit of practice but in time it will come.

1. Win a Rank 1 race without pressing

Unlock all 16 Speed events
You need to complete 16 Target Time Races. Easy to start with but they get tougher and tougher. Trick is to remember you can fail when you win and pass if you get 3rd. Aim to beat the time and get a place finish, once the target time is beaten work on finishing the race in 1st.

Wreck-Less
Unlock all 16 Eliminator events
You need to complete the 16 Wreck Limit Races. Using the 
button isn�t counted as a crash so hammer it to death if you think you�re going to crash. Take safe and quick routes. If you wreck 3 times in your first lap restart the race its not worth continuing.

Last Man Standing
Win all 16 Eliminator events
Get a gold medal in all the Eliminator races! A tough task! Just don�t be in last place when the screen starts flashing red!

Get a gold medal in all the Speed races! A very tough task! Memorise the tracks and if you miss a checkpoint hammer or restart the event.

Not the easiest trophy, just takes some practice to get that perfect race in Rank 8. Just don�t crash in any Rank 8 Race.

Win 96 Silver Medals
This will take some time, get at least 2nd place in all events at the Festival for this trophy.

Win 96 Gold Medals
Get 1st place in all the races at the Festival. This will take a lot of time and patience. The way I did this was to simply play each race until you got gold then moved onto the next one. (example: I got gold on all Rank 1 races then moved to all Rank 2 races�). Using that method you should get the Runner Up trophy at the same time.

Complete a ranked Online race with 12 players
Not difficult to do just difficult to find a race with 12 others. The servers are still pretty busy for this game so just keep playing online games and you�ll get this eventually.

If you�re crazy enough to be going for the platinum on this game you will get this trophy trying to earn the Legend Trophy. If you�re not crazy simply play 50 online ranked games.

Ranked Streak
Win 3 Online ranked races in a row
This is a very tough trophy. Its easy to earn earlier in your online career if you a good driver and know the tracks, some of the early drivers (noobs) don�t have a clue so are easier to beat. This is one way you can do it! There is another though I haven�t tried it yet here is the method:
Go to the online ranked races and switch the matching server to best quality. Get at least 6 people (it does not seem to work with less) and match with the 6. As hardly anyone uses this way of matching you will have just the 6 of you in a ranked room. Then organise yourselves so each person gets the 3 wins
Side Note: If you quit and don't win you will reset your win tally so there is no easy way out if your losing! It�s a start again!

These are essentially your online rank trophies. Your rank increases the higher up you finish the race. Once you fill the % bar your rank will increase. The higher the rank you are the harder it becomes to gain experience points. Quitting will loose you % points. Stick with each race you never know what might happen towards the end and you may pick up a few valuable places. The Ranks are broken into 3 as below:
